Every time I hike in Okinawa, my suitcase always gets fuller and fuller as I get to the later part of the trip.

Some were souvenirs I had planned to buy, while others were things I picked up casually when I saw the words "Okinawa Limited Edition" in supermarkets, outlets, or duty-free shops.

This article compiles and references the Okinawa travelogue of blogger Leah (leas_wonderland), whose blog has over 510,000 views . It records the items that were actually purchased during the trip, as well as the items that were quietly added to the shopping list while shopping. It includes the purchase locations, the timing of the purchase, and simple notes, and compiles them into a practical Okinawa must-buy list and shopping notes, so that you can have a reference when planning your itinerary or allocating shopping time.

Next, let's follow Léa and explore the shopping list for our Okinawa trip!

Okinawa Souvenir Recommendations | Osaka Confectionery Palace Guide: Classic Sweet Potato Series, a safe choice for gifting.

A friend brought this back as a souvenir from Okinawa.

I fell in love with it at first bite.

The sweet potato filling wasn't too sweet; the flavor was just right.

It's fine to eat it heated or chilled.

Of course, I bought a box during this trip to Okinawa.

Keep spreading delicious food and sharing love 🥰

Okinawa Souvenir Recommendation | Pablo Sweet Potato Cheese Tart: An Okinawa-exclusive flavor, quite sweet but rich and delicious.

Pablo was extremely popular in Taiwan.

When I arrived in Okinawa and saw that the sweet potato flavor was only available here, I immediately bought one (my brainwaves are really weak).

The sweet potato is slightly on the sweeter side.

However, the cheese tart itself is very fragrant and rich.

Overall, it still makes you want to quietly finish it.

Must-buy souvenirs from Okinawa | Salt House: A wide variety of salt products, practical for both cooking and gifting.

When you mention Shioya, the first thing that comes to mind is, of course, all kinds of salt.

They have a wide variety of items here, and I picked out a few flavors that are especially suitable for cooking at home.

It would probably rank among the top three on this procurement list.

Besides various kinds of salt

They even have products for washing your face and body here.

Cookies, ice cream, and desserts are all available.

You really can't help but exclaim in surprise as you stroll around, "It's so ridiculously juicy!"

Must-buy cookies in Okinawa | Calbee+: Freshly fried sweet potato fries are very popular, you'll miss out if you arrive late.

These freshly fried sweet potato fries and cookies look incredibly tempting.

Unfortunately, I arrived too late and it was closing time, so I'll have to come back another time 😭

Must-buy souvenirs in Okinawa | Wind Lion God souvenirs: Cute and unique design, perfect for giving as a memorable gift to friends.

This was taken while riding Peach Blossom.

I found gashapon toys next to the duty-free shop at the airport, which looked a bit like a tin shack.

I think it's super cute, and it's very different from the usual amulets.

I couldn't resist sharing a few more, planning to take them back as gifts for my friends.

Must-buy items at Okinawa supermarkets | Okinawa-limited supermarket items: Instant noodles and pudding are worth buying, the rest depends on personal taste.

Many items on the shelves are labeled "Okinawa Exclusive".

Seeing it makes me want to buy it and try it, haha.

Nissin instant noodles are really delicious, I highly recommend them.

The two Okinawa noodle dishes mentioned above are fairly ordinary, but many bloggers have written about them as must-try dishes.

Those who want to try something new can give it a shot.

The pudding was surprisingly delicious; after buying it once,

I would have another one before returning to the hotel in the following days.

As for the drink on the far left... it's really not good, I don't recommend buying it.

Must-Visit in Okinawa | The Amazing Temple (Don Quijote) 👉 Coupon and Tax Refund Process Explained in One Go

I don't need to say more, you'll probably come here to do some shopping too, haha.

It was packed with Taiwanese people.

The shelves in the popular must-buy areas are often swept into a mess, creating a rather exaggerated scene.

Okinawa Souvenir Recommendations | The Moment You Buy a Suitcase That You Can't Close

It's really easy to buy too much in Okinawa without even realizing it.

From souvenirs and limited-edition snacks to supermarkets and outlets, there's a reason to buy at every stop.

This is a list of places I've actually visited and bought things from, and I've also marked which ones are worth bringing back and which ones I'll talk about next time.

The trip doesn't need to be packed with shopping. It's enough to bring back a few things that you really like and that you'll think of Okinawa when you get home.

Follow Léa as she strolls and buys at her own pace.

Let's leave the rest as a reason to come back to Okinawa next time.
